The Texas Bluebonnet

It is always a treat to see our bluebonnets popping out in March! A definite sign of Spring and of warmer weather coming. Today it is a little chilly at 55 degrees and overcast, but much warmer than our northern neighbors are still having to endure. These bluebonnets survived the thunder storm and hail storm that we had three days ago. All is fine though, since we also got 1.4 inches of rain!!! During a drought, that is an answered prayer. Love these porch pillows with our state flowers. The red Bloom pattern is so "fiesta-like" and the red gingham check is always "country fresh". Looking so forward to the blankets and blankets of wild flowers soon to be appearing along our highways and in our countryside. The "Wine and Wildflower" tours should be starting up in April at our many wineries here in Fredericksburg. Enjoy the fresh start that Spring brings, no matter where you are!
